Introduction
The following terms and
conditions apply to all members of the program:
Points are
credited from the time of enrollment and onward. Points will be accrued to
the account of the member whose name is on the ticket, regardless who pays
for the travel.
Each
Awards+Plus
Frequent Flyer number is issued to one specific individual. PIA does not
allow friends, family members or corporate colleagues to share an account.
Each member is allowed to obtain one account only and duplicate accounts
will be cancelled.
Awards+Plus points are non-transferable, nor can they be transferred to
any one upon member's death.
Points will accrue on revenue tickets & no points will be accrued for travel
on free Awards+Plus incentive tickets.
Requests for
retro-active credit must be submitted no later than 6 months following the
activity.
Rebated or
free industry tickets used by airline employees (Including Pakistan
International Airlines' personnel), tour conductors and travel agency staff
along with members of their families, are not eligible for point accrual
under the Awards+Plus Programme.
Points are
not awarded for travel on fares subject to special promotions and/or deep
discounts.
Points are
credited according to the class of service purchased, not the class of
service traveled on complimentary upgrades.
Points will
be awarded only on the account of the
Awards+Plus member who travels.
Points cannot
be transferred, combined or exchanged under any circumstances.
Tickets and
vouchers are valid for one year from the date of issue.
In order to
avoid misuse of account, members are required to provide their valid
membership # and PIN at the time of making an awards request.
Secrecy of
PIN must be maintained by member to avoid any misuse of account.
In order to
avail awards, you are required to send your request through on-line
or written request along with your identity through mail service or Fax .
Free ticket
awards are issued with confirmed bookings/Request status.
One stopover
is allowed free of charge while two stopovers are allowed with redemption of
additional points.
Open-jaw
ticket(s) are permitted if both airports are within one zone.
Awards +Plus tickets may be subject to income taxes, airport taxes or
other regulatory charges according to the rules & regulations of local
Government. Any such charges, if applicable, are the sole responsibility of
the member.
Free awards ticket(s) cannot be upgraded by using a separate
Awards+Plus
upgrade certificate or with payment of
additional fee.
Points in the
Awards +Plus Program cannot be bought, sold or exchanged
but
in case of member running short of points to qualify for Tier criteria PIA
gives the relaxation for purchasing points provided that members must have
at least 50% of the points required for redemption in their account to avail
this facility for themselves, family members and their nominees.
In order to
maintain Sapphire and Diamond status, member must travel or accumulate the
required number of points in each calendar year .However,
PIA has introduced complimentary tier retention of all members who have
maintained Sapphire and Diamond status since last three years but did not
qualify for current year.
Any case of
fraud/embezzlement including misuse of Ticket(s)/Excess Baggage
vouchers/Upgrades in connection with the
Awards+Plus Program will be subject to appropriate judicial procedures.
PIA reserves the right to cancel the membership and all earned points
will be forfeited.
PIA reserves
the right to check the identity of passenger using
Awards+Plus ticket(s)/Excess Baggage vouchers/Upgrades.
Awards+Plus
points earned each year are valid for subsequent three years. However Diamond/Sapphire
members, who are maintaining their tier level for the last three years ,
would get the waiver of their expiry points for the current year.
Pakistan
International Airlines reserves the right to withdraw
Awards+Plus membership and forfeit points if anyone violates specified
Awards+Plus
terms and conditions. Membership in
the PIA Awards+Plus
Frequent Flyer Program is subject to local laws and restrictions of
the country where the member resides. The
Awards+Plus membership card remains the property of Pakistan International
Airlines, and must be surrendered upon demand by the airline.

Definitions
In these Terms and
Conditions unless the context otherwise requires:
"PIA " means Pakistan International Airlines.
"Active Member" is a Member who has recorded Point activity i.e.,
Point earning or redeeming on their membership account within the
previous consecutive 36 month period.
"Award" means any PIA or partner products or services, which have been
nominated by PIA or the partner as eligible to be obtained by a Member
redeeming Points through PIA Frequent Flyer Program.
"Benefits" means any of the facilities, services or arrangements
offered or available to the Member from time to time as a result of
membership in PIA Frequent Flyer including earning and redeeming Points
and Awards
"Rule Booklet" means the membership benefits brochure updated and
published from time to time by PIA including this website.
"FFP Membership Card or FFP Card" means the PIA card issued to the
Frequent flyer Program Member.
"Eligible Flights" has the meaning given in clause 9.2.1.
"Frequent Flyer Partner Airline" means those airlines with which PIA
has entered into an agreement to provide for members to earn points when
flying on other airline's flights and/or to redeem Points on other
airline's flights.
"Frequent Flyer Partner Service" means those non-airline companies
with which PIA has entered into an agreement to provide for members to
earn points when acquiring certain goods and services from the other
company and/or redeeming Points for certain goods and services from the
other company.
"Frequent Flyer Service Center" means the center established by PIA
where membership information is processed and PIA Frequent Flyer is
administered.
"Member" means the person who is a Member of PIA Frequent Flyer
Awards+Plus and whose name is printed on the Card
as well as registered into the program.
"Partner Flight Award" means a flight on a specified Frequent Flyer
Partner Airline that can be obtained by redeeming Points through PIA
Frequent Flyer.
"Partner" means spouse and children of the primary member.
"PIN" means the Personal Identification Number that is issued to the
Member.
"Points" means frequent flyer points awarded to Members in PIA
Frequent Flyer pursuant to these Terms and Conditions.
"PIAC" means Pakistan International Airlines Corporation.
"PIA Flight Award" means a flight operated and marketed by PIA, which
can be obtained by redeeming Points through PIA Frequent Flyer.
"PIA Awards+Plus" means the frequent flyer program operated by PIA by which
members earn points for certain travel or other goods or services
obtained and may redeem these Points for Awards.
"Schedule of Fees" means the schedule of fees that relate to
membership in PIA Frequent Flyer as amended from time to time.
"Terms and Conditions" means these terms and conditions, as amended
from time to time.
Program
Changes
3.1 PIA reserves the right at all times to make any changes to the PIA
Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions, Awards or Benefits offered, and the
Schedule of Fees in its sole discretion, including but not limited to:
Changes to rules governing
Earning and redeeming of Points.
Point earning and redemption rates.
Flight Award blackouts or non-bookable periods.
Limitations on the number of Flight Awards redeemable on
particular flights.
Continued availability of Awards.
Award restrictions or conditions.
Ticketing procedures.
Ticketing and services charges.
Expiry of accrued Points.
Changes to the parties included or Frequent Flyer Partner Services;
and
Changes to Frequent Flyer Partner Airline or Frequent Flyer Partner
Service participation including restrictions on earning
and/or redeeming Points, cancellations, Point earning and redemption
levels.
3.2 PIA will use all reasonable endeavours to advise members of any
changes to these Terms and Conditions, but will not be liable in any way
for any failure to do so. Refer to this website for all current Terms
and Conditions and Schedule of Fees for PIA Frequent Flyer.
3.3 Without limiting this clause 3 in any way, members will be taken
to have received notice of any changes to these Terms and Conditions if
PIA notifies the Member of the change by any method including but not
limited to by providing notice to the address provided by the member to
the Frequent Flyer Service Center and/or by posting details of the
changes on this website.
3.4 PIA is not liable for any Award not being available or for
limitations on capacity available for the redemption of Awards.
3.5 PIA expressly reserves the right in its absolute discretion to
withdraw, cancel, withhold, deny access to or use of or in any way
change any of the Awards or Benefits previously advertised, offered to
or accepted by any member at any time. This includes the right to
discontinue PIA products, services or flights, Frequent Flyer Partner
Airline products, services or flights, product services or flights or
Frequent Flyer Partner Service products or services. PIA will not be
liable for any loss or damage suffered by the member resulting from such
withdrawal, cancellation, denial, variation or change.
3.6 PIA gives no warranty as to the continuing availability of PIA
Frequent Flyer, any Award or any other Benefit.
Termination
4.1 PIA expressly reserves the right to terminate or alter (whether
materially or otherwise) PIA Frequent Flyer at any time.
4.2 PIA reserves the right at any time in its absolute discretion and
without notice to suspend or terminate the membership of any Member
and/or the right of any member to use the Card or any Award or Benefit.
4.3 Membership will terminate automatically on the death of a Member.
Points earned but not redeemed at the time of death will be cancelled.
PIA will terminate the Member's account on receipt of notification of
the death of the Member.
4.4 PIA
Awards +Plus Programme has the right to terminate membership if no
travel activity is recorded in member's account within three consecutive
years.
Breach of
Terms and Conditions
5.1 Any breach of these Terms and Conditions by a Member whether
intentional or otherwise may result in suspension or termination of
membership and/or cancellation of Points, Awards and/or Benefits at the
sole discretion of PIA.
5.2 PIA is not, and will not be, liable for any Member's accumulated
Points, Awards or any other Benefits. In the event of suspension or
termination of membership or termination or other material alteration to
PIA Frequent Flyer, such Points, Awards or Benefits may also terminate
or be extinguished.
5.3 PIA reserves the right to cancel or refuse to honour any Award
(including any Flight Award) which was sold, assigned, transferred or
otherwise obtained or redeemed in breach of the Terms and Conditions at
any time, without liability.
5.4 PIA reserves the right to reverse or cancel any Points credited to
a Member incorrectly, not in accordance with or in breach of the Terms
and Conditions at any time without liability.
5.5 PIA reserves the right to suspend membership, reverse or cancel
any accrued Points from a Member's account in the event that monies are
owed by that Member to PIA or any of its subsidiaries and such monies
remain unpaid after the due date.
Membership
Obligations
6.1 Members must not:
abuse PIA Frequent Flyer, any Awards, Benefits, facilities, services
or arrangements accorded to the Member as a result of
membership in PIA Frequent Flyer;
Act in any way which is likely to be detrimental to the interests of
PIA or PIA Frequent Flyer or any PIA Frequent Flyer Partner Airline or
Frequent Flyer Partner Service;
Supply or attempt to supply misleading information, or make any
misrepresentation to PIA Frequent Flyer or any PIA Frequent Flyer
Partner Airline or Frequent Flyer Partner Service; or act in any way
which in PIA's reasonable opinion breaches or is likely to breach these
Terms and Conditions or is inconsistent with the intent of these Terms
and Conditions.
6.2 Members must comply with these Terms and Conditions at all times.
Membership
7.1 Membership of PIA Frequent Flyer is open only to individuals at
least over 12 years of age or individuals purchasing a seat. Membership
is offered at the discretion of PIA and PIA has the right to accept or
reject any application for membership in its sole discretion.
7.2 Each Member may maintain only one PIA Frequent Flyer account that
must serve all business and personal needs.
7.3 Each Member will be assigned a membership number upon acceptance
of enrolment in PIA Frequent Flyer. Each Member will also be assigned a
Personal Identification Number (PIN) which along with his/her membership
number, surname, birth date, and/or recent travel details will be used
for security of membership information. It is the Member's
responsibility to ensure that this PIN is kept secure and other security
information is kept secure.
7.4 Each Member must advise PIA Frequent Flyer of any change of name,
address, or other details as soon as practicable after the change. PIA
is not responsible for any failure by the Member to adequately notify
PIA of the change. Changes to address can be made by calling the
Frequent Flyer Service Center or updating your details directly on our
website www.piaawards.com (You must supply your PIN.) Written proof must
be supplied for any change of name.
7.5 It is a condition of membership that you consent and authorize PIA
to provide the information on your application form and other
information that you provide to PIA, to Frequent Flyer Partner Airlines,
Frequent Flyer Partner Services and any other person (including without
limitation a related body corporate, agents and contractors) for the
purpose of:
(i) PIA providing services, including the awarding of Points to you;
(ii) PIA improving PIA customer service, including by means
of research, marketing, product development and planning;
(iii) PIA marketing its products or services or the products or
services of its partners; and
(iv) Any third party providing services to PIA and Members in
connection with the administration of PIA Frequent Flyer. This
information will be transferred to or from Pakistan for these purposes.
If all or any part of the requested information is not provided by the
Member, the services provided to you by PIA may be affected.
7.6 PIA will provide you with access to and correction of your
personal information held by PIA on request by you to the extent
permitted or required by law. Only the Member named on the account will
be entitled to access account information. However, PIA does comply with
validly served and executed court orders and subpoenas and cooperates
with investigations by state and federal agencies in accordance with
internal PIA policy. Under these circumstances, or where otherwise
required by law, your account information may be shared with others with
or without your knowledge or consent.
Use
of the Card and Benefits
8.1 By using the Card or claiming any Benefit, the Member agrees to
be bound by the Terms and Conditions and provides the consent specified
in clause 7.5.
8.2 The Card is and will remain the property of PIA and must be returned
on demand. It is not a credit card.
8.3 The Card is valid for use only by the Member and it is not transferable
in any circumstances. The Card is valid for use only during the period
indicated on it.
8.4 PIA reserves the right to require the Member to produce the Card
at any time while ticketing or while the Member is travelling or otherwise
claiming or utilizing any Awards or Benefits.
8.5 In the event of loss, theft or unauthorized use of your Card, it
is your responsibility to immediately advise the Frequent Flyer Service
Center or, if outside Pakistan, your local PIA office. Until loss, theft
or unauthorized use of the Card is notified to PIA, the Member is liable
for all use of the Card. PIA will not be liable for misuse of a lost
or stolen Card or any unauthorized use of a Card.
8.6 Replacement cards: A Replacement Card Fee (set out in the Schedule
of Fees) will be charged when a replacement Card is issued.
8.7 Replacement Card Fee-Waivers
Effective 2006, fee for re-issuance of a
card due to loss or damage has been waived off, members are not required
to pay any charges. Only 300 points will be deducted for Emerald card
holders whereas Sapphire and Diamond members are fully exempted from
charges and points deduction.
Earning Points
9.1 General
9.1.1 To earn Points, Members must quote their name and membership number
when utilizing eligible PIA, PIA Frequent Flyer Partner Airlines
products or services or Frequent Flyer Partner Services.
9.1.2 Points can only be earned in relation to acquiring goods or services
or other transactions made by the Member after the Member's enrolment
date. Points can only be applied to the account of the Member who is
acquiring the goods or services or making any other transaction in partners
services. Points will not be awarded (and may be deducted from Members'
accounts) for cancellations or refunded products, except that PIA at
its discretion may give Points for flights where cancellation is for
operational reasons.
9.1.3 Each Member is responsible for ensuring that Points are properly
credited to his/her account. Where a Member contends that Points have
been earned but not credited, or in cases where PIA deems verification
is required, PIA reserves the right to require proof of earning from
the Member, including copies of ticket coupons and/or original boarding
passes from flights claimed to have been flown or copies of receipts
or similar documentation; for example, car rental agreement, hotel voucher
or hotel bill.
9.1.4 Any discrepancies must be brought to the attention of the Frequent
Flyer Service Center by the Member within 6 months of the applicable
flight or transaction. No amendments can be made after this period.
PIA will be the final arbiter in any Points disputes.
9.1.5 Members of PIA Frequent Flyer who are also members of other airline,
hotel or car rental frequency programs can only receive Points in one
program for the same flight, hotel stay, car rental or other transaction
unless otherwise specified. Members of more than one such program must
nominate prior to travel, stay or rental on which scheme they wish to
earn Points. Points cannot be transferred between loyalty schemes conducted
by PIA and its partners and non-partners.
9.1.6 Awards, tickets and any accumulated Points cannot be sold, assigned,
transferred or otherwise redeemed (whether for valuable consideration
or otherwise) except in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
9.2 Points for Air travel
9.2.1 Points for air travel may only be earned for paid travel on regular
scheduled flights (subject to clause 9.2.2) where a PIA flight number
(or the flight number of any PIA or Frequent Flyer Partner Airline)
is entered on the ticket ("Eligible Flight"). In situations
where it is a PIA aircraft but where another airline's flight number
is entered on the ticket, Points are not earned unless that particular
airline is a Frequent Flyer Partner Airline or a PIA.
9.2.2 Points will not be credited for travel on Special
Hajj Flights, free tickets, including: tickets issued as Flight Awards
or rewards, travel industry rebated tickets such as AD75, ID50, ID 75
etc, special discounted tickets such as journalist discount (JD) or
concessions allowed over/above the prevailing market fares ,
competition prize tickets, tickets acquired at an auction, or on tickets
which are subject to any specific provisions excluding the accumulation
of Points.
9.2.3 Points are awarded for chartered flights, provided member
communicates relevant flight details to PIA Awards +Plus programme by
sending copies of boarding pass(es). Provision of flight details
is mandatory because these chartered flights are not supported by
existing system for auto accrual of points.
9.2.4 Points are credited to your account according to flown sector
and class of services purchased. In order to calculate the points

· Business Class - Is entitled to 25% bonus points
· Economy Plus - Is entitled to 10% bonus points
This is one more way that PIA is helping members accrue mileage more
quickly, so that they can qualify for awards sooner!
9.3 Point Validity
9.3.1 Members have at least three calendar years in which to redeem
points earned through the Frequent Flyer Program. All points expire
on 31 December after Three calendar years.
Example-1: Points earned for a PIA flight taken on 20 January 1999
will expire on 31 December 2002.
Example-2: Points earned on 20 December 1999 will expire
on 31 December 2002. Any unused points will be deleted from members'
accounts once the expiration date has been reached, and cannot be reinstated
after that time.
9.3.2
Complimentary tier retention of all the
members who have maintained Sapphire and Diamond status since last three
years but did not qualify in current year. Additionally, for all
such members, points that are expiring on 31st December will
also be retained till 31st December of next year.
9.4 Activity Statements
9.4.1 PIA may in its absolute discretion mail activity statements
or Members can view on
Awards+Plus" website www.piaawards.com.
9.4.2 Any Member who is a non-Active Member may be excluded from receiving
activity statements as well as other marketing and program material.
Redeeming Points
10.1 General
10.1.1 Awards are subject to capacity controls and availability is limited.
PIA, PIA Frequent Flyer Partner Airlines and Frequent Flyer Partner
Services limit the number of seats and other products or services available
to Members at their absolute discretion. These depend on the flight,
date, season and destination and some flights may not have any Award
seats available. Once Award seats are filled, there may be no more Award
seats available. Seats for Award travel are booked in special classes
of service. If the class of service applicable to the Award is not available,
another flight, date or destination must be selected. Reserving a seat
in an incorrect class of service may be a breach of these Terms and
Conditions.
10.1.2 Members will be personally liable for any and all costs, taxes,
charges, claims or liabilities of whatever nature (including without
limitation all ticket taxes) arising from the provision or availability
of any Awards or Benefits whether these are provided by PIA, or
by a PIA Frequent Flyer Partner Airline(s) or Frequent Flyer Partner(s)
Service.
10.1.3 It is the responsibility of each Member to keep track of any
and all redemptions made against their account and ensure that sufficient
Points are held in credit to cover any un-ticketed Award Flights or
services. Members must report any unauthorized Award claims from their
account within 12 months of the occurrence. Corrective action cannot
be taken after that time.
10.1.4 You may assign any Award you earn through PIA Frequent Flyer to
any individual, provided the Points Shortfall requirement is being met.
10.1.5 Awards may not be sold or exchanged for cash or for any other
form of consideration. Points may not be pooled, assigned or transferred
to any other person (including but not limited to another Member).
10.1.6 In case of fraud of embezzlement in connection with the Frequent
Flyer Program will be subject to appropriate judicial Procedures. PIA
reserves the right to invalidate all earned points And awards. The airline
may also declare a member's account Invalid.
10.2 Flight Awards
10.2.1 Children aged 2 years or over will be charged the full adult
Award Point level for any Flight Award as set out in the Rule Booklet
and updated from time to time.
10.2.2 If the Member is a minor (12 years of age or younger), reservations
must be made on his or her behalf by a parent or legal guardian.
10.2.3
Flight Awards booking are subject to availability of seats and all
redemption requests are processed on the basis of travel
date.
10.2.4 Flights Awards may only be redeemed on Eligible Flights of PIA,
PIA Frequent Flyer Partner Airlines and may impose restrictions
on the redemption of Flight Awards on certain flights from time to time.
10.2.5 Flight Awards are not permitted on Special Hajj flights on Hajj
Fares.
10.2.6 Flight Awards
Journey for performing Umra must be completed before 15th of Ramadan.
10.3 Flight Award Ticketing
10.3.1 All PIA Flight Award bookings must be ticketed through system by PIA Offices
only.
10.3.2 Flight Award tickets will be valid for one year from the original ticketed
date unless otherwise specified.
10.3.3 Re-Issuance of lost flight Awards ticket is not allowed.
10.3.4 Flight Award Tickets which are not lost and cannot be presented at airport check-in
on the day of departure, will not be reissued. A commercial fare ticket must be purchased
if travel is still required.
10.3.5 Changes to Flight Award bookings incurs applicable redemption of Point
subject to available points in the Member's account.
10.4 PIA Flight Awards - Redeeming Points, Changes and Reissue
10.4.1 The redemption rules for redeeming PIA Flight Awards are available on
Awards+Plus
website REDEMPTION TABLE or published
Rule Booklet. They are subject to change from time to time at the discretion of PIA.
10.4.2 The following conditions govern the redemption of Points for PIA Flight Awards:
(a) Failure to board the booked sector of an Award itinerary (no-show) will result in
redemption of additional points (as set out in the Schedule of Fees and Charges).
(b) A maximum of 3 stopovers may be included in any Award itinerary and only one stopover
is permitted at one city. One free stopover is permitted on the whole itinerary. Two
additional en-route stopovers will require the redemption of 5,000 Points for
International and 3,000 point for Domestic.
A stopover is defined as: When a passenger arrives at an
intermediate point and is not scheduled to depart within 24 hours of arrival.
(c) Open Jaw and Surface Sectors are permitted within the same zone. Open Jaw found
at the point of origin or destination when arrival and departure occur at different ports.
Surface Sectors - are inflowing segments of an itinerary occurring between the points of
origin and destination.
(d) Open dated Awards
ticket(s) is/are not permitted.
e) Wait list on requested
flight is not permitted.
10.4.3 PIA Flight Awards may not be available on flights that are designated as a PIA
flight number but operated by another carrier's aircraft (code-shared) or in situations
where it is a PIA aircraft but where another airline's flight number is entered on the
ticket (unless that particular airline is a Frequent Flyer Partner Airline or a
PIA).
10.4.4
Any change(s)
in PIA Flight Award reservation ( for example, change in flight number and /
or date of travel ),change of booking can be made without incurring a
service charge, prior to ticket collection .However, requests for changes in
reservation after ticket has been issued will be considered as fresh
requests and will incur applicable charges.
10.4.5 Prior commencement of travel, booking can be made after deduction of points as set
out in the Schedule of Fees.
10.4.6 On request to cancel ticket and re-credit Points. Only Points that have not expired
will be re-credited.
10.4.7 After commencement of travel, simple date or flight number changes within ticket
validity may be made to Award travel on PIA flights only. The Revalidation Fee applies.
10.5 PIA Flight Awards - Cancellation and Refunds
10.5.1 PIA Flight Award tickets issued for travel on PIA may be submitted for refund and
reaccredit prior to commencement of travel. (Where applicable, only Points that have not
expired will be re-credited.) A Cancellation Fee (as set out in the Schedule of Fees) will
apply.
10.5.2 Once travel has commenced on a PIA Flight Award ticket and the remaining travel is
not completed, points for un-used ticket can be re-credited to the accounts
(as set out in the Schedule of Fees).
10.5.3 Failure to board a booked PIA Award flight (no-show) may constitute a cancellation
of the entire itinerary. The Change of flights will incur a Fee (as set out in the
Schedule of Fees).
10.5.4 Where PIA Award flights are cancelled due to operational reasons and reasonable
alternative travel cannot be arranged, PIA will waive the Cancellation Fee on any Award
ticket submitted for refund and reaccredit in accordance with clause 10.5.1.
Excess Baggage
Awards
11.1 PIA is pleased to offer our valuable free offers, including vouchers for waived
excess baggage allowances. Vouchers can be purchased in multiple of 20 kilos each per
one-way travel. There is no limit to the number of vouchers which can be used for each
journey. No refunds are permitted for partially used vouchers.
Upgrades
12.1 Flight Upgrades
12.1.1 Flight Upgrades are available by redeeming Points outlined in the Rule Booklet as
updated from time to time.
12.1.2 Flight Upgrades can only be redeemed and booked on domestic or international
flights with a PIA flight number where the aircraft is operated by PIA. Upgrades are
subject to availability in Award booking classes and at the levels set out in the Rule
booklet and displayed on the PIA website at Flight Upgrades. Availability and capacity on
available flights are limited.
12.1.3 Flight Upgrades can be redeemed subject to availability by submitting online
Redemption Form available at website or sending an application by mail to
Awards+Plus office. All
redemption requests will be processed on the basis of traveling date.
12.1.4 Flight Upgrades cancelled within 24 hours of flight departure, or failure to board
a booked flight (no-show), will incur fees (as set out in the schedule of fees).
12.1.5 The following conditions apply to the use of Flight Upgrades
("Upgrades"):
(a) The Upgrade cannot be
utilized in conjunction with a Flight Award ticket, travel industry reduced fare ticket,
prize ticket or any other promotional offer.
(b) The availability of
Upgrades is strictly limited and subject to capacity controls.
(c) The Upgrades may only
be used to obtain an upgrade for one class of service on each flight. Flight Upgrades
cannot be redeemed using a combination of Points and Upgrade Credits.
(d) Points will be earned
only for the class of service that has been purchased, rather than the upgrade class that
may be facilitated via the Upgrade.
(e) Pre-booking times may
be determined by the Member whose Points are used to redeem the Upgrade.
(f) Fare rules of the fare
originally purchased apply, irrespective of upgraded travel class.
(g) Upgrades cannot be used
in conjunction with an open-dated ticket.
(h) Free Award tickets
cannot be upgraded by using a separate Awards upgrade, or by paying an additional fee.
Membership
Status, Recognition and Benefits
13.1 Membership Status
13.1.1 Retention of
membership status in a particular status level of PIA Frequent Flyer is dependent upon
maintaining the Status Credits applicable to that level. Status Credits required to
attain/retain Sapphire and Diamond status levels are set out at Status and Privileges.
13.1.2 Membership status
levels are valid for a minimum of one year.
13.1.3 Status Credits are
only earned on Eligible Flights of PIA.
13.1.4
Members who earn, within a calendar year, either a minimum of 30,000 Points (Base+Class of service) or 25 trips on PIA are automatically promoted to the Sapphire tier. Members who earn, within a calendar year, either a minimum of 70,000 Points (Base+Class of service) or 50 trips on PIA are automatically promoted to the PIA Diamond tier.
13.2 Other Benefits
13.2.1 PIA reserves the
right to alter the benefits and recognition available to any status level at any time.
General
14.1 Governing Law: The
Terms and Conditions and membership in PIA Frequent Flyer Program is governed by
PIA.
15.1 PIA-SCB CoBrand
Members
Email Updation:
Upon receipt of the PIA Awards
+Plus card, members are required to update their email address by availing
the ‘Change Profile’ option.
It is the responsibility
of the members to update their email address. PIA and SCB will not be
responsible for any event or consequences that may arise if the email
address is not updated and/or in case of any delay, unauthorized use or
interceptions thereof of the mail, membership card number or the PIN code.”
Redemption:
If PIA-SCB
CoBrand members are redeeming their accumulated points against any PIA
awards(s), their PIA Awards +Plus points will be redeemed first and then
after fully exhausting PIA points SCB points may be redeemed for meeting any
points shortfall requirement ( not foregoing any applicable capping
restrictions).
Points Purchase for top up:
PIA Awards +Plus points can be purchased against PKR 1.50 per point (for members residing in Pakistan) or at USD 0.025 i.e. 2.5 cents per point (for overseas members).
Points can be purchased by
members to meet a shortfall in points while redeeming rewards.
However, members must have
at least 50% of the points required for redemption in either their PIA
Awards +Plus account or in their PIA-SCB CoBrand account to avail this
facility for themselves, family members and nominees.
16. Schedule of Fees and Charges
16.1
Service Fee
Incase of Re-deposit of
issued Award.2,000 points will be deducted.
Note:
Expired points during the processing of an Award cannot be
re-deposit.
16.2
No-show Charges

Rs.3,000 on Domestic routes.

16.3 Re-routing
of Sector
Re-routing of sector after
issuance of Award with in the same zone.2000 Points will be charged.
16.4 Re-issuance of lost Card
Effective 2006, fee for
re-issuance of a card due to loss or damage has been waived
off, members are not required to pay any charges.
Only 300 points will be deducted for Emerald card holders whereas Sapphire
and Diamond members are fully exempted from charges and points deduction.
